Procurement Policy（Natural Rubber）

【Procurement Policy】: Based on the "Basic Supply Chain Sustainability Policy", we aim to achieve sustainable procurement of natural rubber, taking into consideration the following key items. This policy applies to the Marubeni Group's worldwide natural rubber transactions (the Marubeni Group is engaged in the trading of natural rubber).
【Key Items】
1.Compliance with laws and regulations: ･ Compliance with relevant laws and regulations in the country concerned and the countries involved in the transaction.
･ Thorough prevention of corruption
2.Maintenance of a healthy and functioning ecosystem: ･Transactions with suppliers who are not involved in the development of High Conservation Value (HCV) forests,
　High Carbon Stock (HCS) forests with high carbon storage, or peat swamp forests.
　(deforestation or HCV degradation before April 1, 2019, is not covered by this policy)
･Transactions with suppliers who consider environmental conservation and biodiversity.
･Transactions with suppliers who consider the safety, health, and labor conditions of employees.
･Transactions with suppliers who are not involved in child labor, forced labor, or other human rights violations
･Transactions with suppliers who strive to respect the human rights and culture of indigenous peoples based on international standards
　such as the "United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples," the "International Labor Organization Convention No. 169
　Concerning Indigenous and Tribal Peoples in Independent Countries," and "the principle of free, prior, and informed consent (FPIC)".
3.Establishment of processes and systems for efficient implementation of the policy: ･Prioritizing transactions with suppliers in accordance with this policy to effectively promote its implementation
4.Supply chain evaluation, traceability, and management: ･ Conducting supplier surveys in accordance with this policy, assessing social and environmental risks of suppliers,
　and implementing activities to reduce such risks
5.Compliance with the policy, progress reporting, and monitoring: ･Setting goals for this policy
･Timely and appropriate disclosure of progress status
